9/24/2019 Graduate Spotlight: Kelsea JonesKelsea Jones Class of 2013 - Agricultural Sciences Northwest High School After graduating from Northwest I went to Texas Tech University where I received a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications. During my time as an undergrad at Texas Tech I interned at several major stock shows and also for the Texas Tech Alumni association where I was able to make life-long connections. Once I graduated with my bachelors I then went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Education. I completed my student teaching in Anson, Texas upon graduation and had an amazing experience and knew then I was called to teaching. I then accepted an agricultural science teaching position in the heart of west Texas in Muleshoe, Texas. As a student who was enrolled in agricultural classes and an active member of FFA I gained many valuable assets. I learned what it took to set goals and achieve them, to communicate effectively with adults, make life-long connections, and the most important: to advocate for agriculture in a positive way. While in high school showing cattle I also learned many valuable lessons such as balancing my time, and responsibility that have most definitely helped me get where I am today.
